Who are the judges?
The scarecrows will be displayed along the hayride route, and guests will be given ballots to cast their votes during the ride.
Circle D Funny Farms reserves the right to reject scarecrow entries that are not considered suitable for all age groups. NO EVIL ENTRIES!
Delivery, Setup, and Removal of Entries: All participants must set up their scarecrows between 5:00 -7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 12, 2024. Circle D Funny Farm will install a 5 ft. metal post in the ground for each scarecrow, but entrants must provide their own method for securing the scarecrow to the post. We suggest using a 2-inch diameter PVC pipe through the center of the scarecrow’s body. All scarecrows must be picked up between Noon and 2:00 pm on November 2nd. Any scarecrows not collected by this time may be discarded.
All scarecrow entries will be displayed outdoors until Nov. 2, 2024, and may be exposed to heavy rain, strong winds, and other weather conditions. Please consider this when constructing your scarecrow.
Circle D Funny Farm will not be liable for any injuries, damages, or missing items related to the 2024 Scarecrow Contest. Entrants are responsible for retrieving any items from their displays that they wish to keep during the designated pick-up time. By participating, entrants agree that Circle D Funny Farm may use photographs, stories, and information from the entry form for promotional purposes related to the event. Employees of Circle D Funny Farm, their families, affiliates, vendors, and advertising representatives are not eligible to participate in the contest. Circle D Funny Farm also reserves the right to exclude any entry deemed offensive in terms of race, gender, or religion.
